Environmental Policy – Quality service management

Managing and minimising our environmental impacts is of fundamental importance to Thompson Packaging Ltd., as it is to our employees, customers and other stakeholders. We are committed to providing a quality service and products in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and minimises our potential impact on the environment.

In all our working practices Thompson Packaging Ltd., and our employees, commit to operating in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, and we continually strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all we do.

To achieve this commitment we will:- Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into all of our decision making activities, for example, implementation of quality service Ink Mixing Kitchen, so ink colours can be mixed reducing wastage by 50% and making more boxes on site due to stitching line being fitted.

Promote environmental awareness among our employees and encourage them to work in an environmentally responsible manner.

Promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout our manufacturing facility including the inks and packaging materials we use in our products, and water, electricity and other resources used on our site, to ensure that minimal waste is created from our processes.

Dispose of all wastes in an environmentally responsible and sound manner, including baling all recyclable materials on site for collection and removal for recycling.

Consider environmental implications on our operations and products in all our procurement decisions from purchasing recyclable raw materials to make our quality service packaging products to selecting fuel efficient equipment such as our new low emissions trucks, electric forklifts and onsite machinery.

Commit to comply with all environmental and health and safety legislation required of us.

Communicate our environmental commitment to clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it.

Strive to continually improve our quality service environmental performance by periodically reviewing our operations and our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.

Thompson Packaging Ltd issues this environmental policy as a statement of our commitments to limiting our environmental impact and to creating a safe environment for our employees through all our operations.
